Sieben Partner aus Großbritannien (Arts Council England, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, British Council, Creative Scotland, Wales Arts International / Arts Council of Wales) und Deutschland (Goethe-Institut London und Fonds Soziokultur) haben in der Pandemie und nach dem Brexit im Jahr 2021 das Programm „Cultural Bridge“ entwickelt. Einrichtungen aus beiden Ländern kooperieren im Bereich von Kultureller Teilhabe und Kultureller Demokratie. Von Anfang an bestand ein enger Austausch zwischen Förderern und Geförderten mit dem Ziel ein inhaltlich sinnvolles und nachhaltiges Förderprogramm zu entwickeln.

Die Balance zwischen Prozess und Projekt, Entwicklung und Produktion werden am Beispiel des Förderprogramms und von Expert*innen aus drei beteiligten Kultureinrichtungen beleuchtet.

In 2021, seven UK (Arts Council England, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, British Council, Creative Scotland, Wales Arts International / Arts Council of Wales) and German (Goethe-Institut London and Fonds Soziokultur) partners developed the „Cultural Bridge“-programme – post-Brexit and in the middle of the pandemic. Through this, institutions from both countries cooperate in the fields of community engagement and cultural democracy. From the beginning, there has been a close exchange between funders and funded organisations with the aim of developing a meaningful and sustainable funding structure.

Drawing on the example of this funding scheme, experts from three of the participating cultural organisations will discuss the balance of process and project, development and production.
