For many years, she worked at the Institutes for Environmental and Planning Law and for Information, Telecommunications and Media Law (public law department) at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster.

Since 2003 employee at the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM), initially in the area of broadcasting and international cooperation in the media sector; temporary secondment to the EU Commission. From 2006, assignments in the management staff as well as in the area of planning and analysis. From 2012 to 2016, head of the units Promotion of East German Cultural Institutions, Monument Protection and Building Culture, and Reformation Anniversary 2017.

Since June 2016, Head of the Department for Generual Issues of Cultural Policy, Monument and Cultural Property Protection.

Seit 2003 Mitarbeiterin bei der Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (BKM), zunächst im Bereich Rundfunk und Internationale Zusammenarbeit im Medienbereich; zeitweise Abordnung zur EU-Kommission (Generaldirektion Wettbewerb). Ab 2006 Verwendungen im Leitungsstab sowie im Bereich Planung und Analyse. Von 2012 bis 2016 Leiterin der Referate Förderung ostdeutscher Kultureinrichtungen, Denkmalschutz und Baukultur sowie Reformationsjubiläum 2017.

Seit Juni 2016 Leiterin der Abteilung Grundsatzfragen der Kulturpolitik, Denkmal- und Kulturgutschutz.
