Die commune gGmbH eröffnet ein unabhängiges politisches, kulturelles und soziales Zentrum in Saarbrücken. Das Zentrum in Selbstverwaltung schafft Raum für unabhängige politische und soziale Projekte, Kunst und Kultur. Sowohl Organisationsstruktur als auch Finanzierungskonzept sind langfristig angelegt und gemeinschaftsbasiert. Der Aspekt der finanziellen Unabhängigkeit spielt im Konzept des Zentrums eine fundamentale Rolle.
Im Rahmen des Workshops wollen wir auf verschiedene Aspekte der Unabhängigkeit eingehen, die Motivation dahinter beleuchten und auf Herausforderungen bei der Umsetzung zu sprechen kommen. In einer anschließenden Phase erforschen die Teilnehmenden die Abhängigkeiten in ihren eigenen Projekten und tauschen sich über Möglichkeiten aus, ungewollte Abhängigkeiten zu reduzieren. Daraus entsteht eine Ideensammlung, welche die Teilnehmenden für ihre weitere Arbeit nutzen können.
Der Workshop richtet sich an Menschen, die sich für gemeinschaftliche Projekte mit transformativem und politischem Anspruch interessieren.

commune gGmbH will open an independent political, cultural and social center in Saarbrücken. The self-managed center creates space for independent political and social projects, art and culture. Both the organizational structure and the financing concept are long-term and community-based. The aspect of financial independence plays a fundamental role in the center’s concept.
In the workshop, we will look at different aspects of independence, the motivation behind it, and the challenges of actually implementing it. In a subsequent phase, the participants will explore the dependencies in their own projects and exchange ideas on ways to reduce unwanted dependencies. This will result in a collection of ideas that the participants can use for their own work.
The workshop is for people interested in collaborative projects with transformative and political aspirations.
